Flood Victims Gifted Homes and Ownership Rights Under People's Housing Scheme
Fulfilling Grandfather's Promise, Aseefa Bhutto Gives Home Ownership Rights to Flood Victims
Nawabshah: First Lady and Member of the National Assembly, Ms. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, visited Mirza Farukh Beg village in Taluka Daur, District Shaheed Benazirabad. She was accompanied by Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho. The two leaders inspected the houses constructed for flood-affected families under the Sindh People's Housing Scheme.
Ms. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari handed over ownership documents to women beneficiaries in what is being called the world's largest free housing initiative. Addressing the women at the ceremony, she said, "I have come on behalf of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to present these ownership documents to you. Now you have a roof over your heads, and I have fulfilled the promise of my grandfather (Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto)."
On this occasion, the women homeowners shared their concerns with Ms. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, who listened attentively and assured them of swift resolutions.
Under the Sindh People's Housing Scheme, permanent residences have been provided to families affected by floods. This initiative not only includes the construction of houses but also holds historic significance by granting women ownership rights, which will promote social and economic stability.
This step reflects the Pakistan Peoples Party's commitment to public welfare policies aimed at providing a dignified life to the poor and homeless.
