Islamabad: Secretary General Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, Senator Sherry Rehman and Secretary Information PPP, Nadeem Afzal Chan held a joint press conference at the Central Secretariat, Islamabad on Tuesday.

SG PPP addressing the press conference said that Pakistan is a peaceful country but at the same time reserves the right to protect itself. The leadership of the PPP made the defense of the country impregnable. The nuclear capability and the missile technology are the achievements of the party. The Pakistan armed forces deserve commendation for thwarting the nefarious designs of the enemy. The entire nation is behind its armed forces. The PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari presented Pakistan’s narrative before the whole world. Bukhari congratulated the entire nation for this victory against the enemy. Now, the ceasefire is in operation so the talks should start. 

Nayyer Hussain Bukhari said that Modi is hiding his incapability and defeat behind his tall claims. We do not want war but the wish for peace must not be regarded as our weakness. India violated the international laws by attacking Pakistan but did not know that the Pakistani nation is like iron dome. War is never productive and always precious lives are lost in the wars. India had imposed war on Pakistan and we proved that we can defend our sovereignty. President Asif Ali Zardari directed to defend the stance of the government and the state. Our pilots made India to regret this aggression. SG PPP praised the Pakistani media for being objective and informing the public correctly and promptly. The world is aware of the fact that Kashmir is a disputed territory. The international community should now ask India to agree to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the United Nations resolutions. 

Deputy President PPP, Senator Sherry Rehman said that the Indian media kept spreading the fake news whereas that Pakistani media proved to be very responsible. India imposed war on us and we defended the country successfully. Precious lives are lost in every war. She said that Indian prime minister Modi is surprised with our response. He attacked Pakistan in the garb of Pahalgam incident. Pakistan did not allow India to cross its red-line. We offered an impartial inquiry into the Pahalgam incident. India proved to be a country spreading terror whereas Pakistan is a peaceful country. A serving Indian military officer was caught involved in the terror activities in Balochistan. India lost a lot in a war spanning 87 hours. We believe in dialogue and Kashmir is our priority. 

Nadeem Afzal Chan said that Modi’s speech was a speech of a defeated person. Pakistani nation was gelled together by this war. Our forces made us all proud and united. Now, it is up to every political party to remain united. The way Chairman Bilawal represented Pakistan before the world reminded us of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Pakistan is dealing with terrorism whereas India is busy in spreading terrorism.
