The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership, during a press conference in Islamabad, congratulated the nation on the armed forces’ decisive victory in the recent Pakistan-India conflict, declaring that “our forces have crushed the enemy’s nefarious designs.” PPP leaders emphasized that “while we are advocates of peace, it must not be mistaken for weakness.” Criticizing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, they stated, “The Modi regime is in disarray and responsible for destabilizing the region.”

Addressing the press conference, PPP Secretary General Syed Nayer Hussain Bukhari asserted, “All political parties and the nation stood united. Now is the time to resolve the Kashmir issue. We believe in dialogue, but talks with India must also address the Indus Waters Treaty and other disputes.” He warned India, “New Delhi cannot block our water. Pakistan is a victim of terrorism, while India has been a facilitator of terrorism.”

PPP senior leader Sherry Rehman hailed the nation, saying, “The PPP congratulates the people for thwarting Indian aggression. Our forces gave a befitting response to the enemy.” Praising Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir’s leadership, she added, “Our military leadership has stood like an impregnable wall against the adversary. All three armed forces have shattered India’s ambitions.” Highlighting Pakistan’s air defense capabilities, she noted, “77 Indian drones were destroyed. The Indian public now realizes they were deceived. A war imposed by India was won by Pakistan within minutes.”

Meanwhile, PPP Sindh President Nisar Khoro announced on Wednesday that “gratitude rallies will be held across Sindh on 15 May to mark the Pakistan-India ceasefire.” He stated, “All district chapters will organize rallies at 5 PM from their respective headquarters.” Khoro thanked U.S. President Donald Trump, saying, “He played a pivotal role in brokering a ceasefire between two nuclear powers.” He added, “Trump upheld his electoral slogan of ‘peace’ by defusing tensions.”

Khoro paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, stating, “Our air force, navy, and army soldiers scripted history by courageously countering Indian aggression.” He stressed, “Wars solve nothing—dialogue is the only way forward.” Urging resolution of the Indus Waters Treaty dispute, Khoro said, “Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has robustly advocated Pakistan’s stance on global platforms.”

In Sindh, thousands rallied under PPP leader Rawal Sharjeel Memon’s leadership to express solidarity with the military over the success of “Operation Bunyan Al-Marsoos.” Memon declared, “We stand with our forces. This victory belongs not just to Pakistan but to regional peace.”

The PPP’s stance underscores Pakistan’s desire for peace without compromising sovereignty. By saluting the armed forces’ sacrifices and showcasing political unity, the party has reaffirmed that “every enemy plot will be countered with national resolve.” Now, it is time to bring disputes like Kashmir to the negotiating table and steer the region toward lasting stability.
