Lahore: Leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from NA-128 and PP-169, including Afraz Naqvi, Hassan Abbas, Zafar Nadeem Chaudhry, Syed Mushtaq Shah, Nabeel Kazmi, Lala Sarwar, Tahir Jafri, Mehr Intezar, and Syed Toseef Shah, have strongly condemned the illegal installation of a gate by the Wahdat Colony administration on the main road. The move, which blocks access to Shah Kamal Achhra, Karnal Pura, Rawan Ghazali Park, and Clifton Colony, has been denounced as a severe violation of human rights.

The leaders stated that this action not only restricts the fundamental freedoms of the public but is also legally unacceptable. They emphasized that the administration must immediately remove the illegal barrier, warning that failure to do so would lead to public protests and legal action.

Expressing deep anger and frustration, the PPP leaders declared that if the administration refuses to remove the gate, they will take to the streets in protest and pursue legal recourse through the courts. They affirmed their solidarity with the public, stating that it is their duty to speak out against the administration’s oppressive actions.

The leaders demanded prominent media coverage of the issue to raise public awareness and pressure the administration to halt its unlawful practices. They clarified that blocking public roads is a criminal offense under the law.

The PPP leaders warned that remaining silent on this matter could embolden the bureaucracy to further infringe upon citizens' rights. They urged all citizens to unite and raise their voices to protect their rights, calling for collective action against unjust administrative measures.
