Lahore: Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf congratulated Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on being promoted to the rank of Field Marshal, expressing his best wishes for the newly appointed military leader. He stated that the government's decision to elevate General Syed Asim Munir to the prestigious rank of Field Marshal is commendable, adding that the nation takes pride in his military leadership and professional expertise.  

 

The former Prime Minister remarked that Syed Asim Munir delivered a crushing response to the enemy through Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos and embodies an inspiring military leadership. Under the command of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistan Armed Forces have achieved significant victories. He further stated that the world acknowledges the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces, which effectively countered Indian aggression and emerged victorious. The nation, he said, is proud of the exceptional leadership of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.  

 

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also praised the services of Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, welcoming the extension of his tenure and the conferment of high state honors upon martyrs and veterans.
