Islamabad:  Pakistan is observing *Youm-e-Takbeer* today, marking 27 years since the nation became the world’s seventh nuclear power and the first in the Muslim world. On this historic occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartfelt congratulations to the nation and all those who hold Pakistan dear, expressing profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for this divine blessing.

In his message, the Prime Minister emphasized that this year’s *Youm-e-Takbeer* holds special significance as it follows Pakistan’s resounding victory in an "unjust war imposed by India" between May 6 and 10. He stated that this triumph has further elevated the nation’s spirit, and Pakistanis bow before Allah in gratitude for His endless blessings and protection.

Reflecting on the events of May 1998, PM Sharif recalled how India’s five nuclear tests in Pokhran had threatened Pakistan’s security and sovereignty. In response, then-Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, prioritizing national interests over economic sanctions and international pressure, authorized six successful nuclear tests on May 28, 1998. This decisive move not only established Pakistan as a nuclear power but also rendered its geographical boundaries invincible. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the nation’s leadership, from Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Nawaz Sharif, for their unwavering commitment to the nuclear program.

PM Shehbaz Sharif described the echoes of "Allahu Akbar" from the mountains of Chagai in Balochistan as a testament to the nation’s unbreakable resolve—a spirit that was reignited during recent conflicts with India. He honored the architects of Pakistan’s nuclear program, including Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, scientists, engineers, the armed forces, and national institutions, whose sacrifices made the country’s defense impregnable.

He further stated that Youm-e-Takbeer symbolizes the continuation of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision, under which Pakistan emerged as a sovereign state. History, he said, stands witness to how the Pakistani people, their leadership, and the armed forces have repeatedly turned the impossible into possible through courage and determination. The Prime Minister asserted that this resilience remains Pakistan’s true strength in overcoming all challenges.

Reaffirming national unity, PM Sharif declared *Youm-e-Takbeer* a day of renewed commitment to sovereignty, vowing that Pakistan will rise as an economic power and secure its rightful place in the world. *"Insha’Allah,"* he added.

Concluding his message, the Prime Minister rallied the nation with the slogan *"Pakistan Paindabad"* (Long Live Pakistan).
