Lahore (Correspondent) – President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that mutual harmony and political dialogue are crucial for the continuity of democracy and institutional stability, stating that lasting solutions to public issues require consultation and cooperation with all stakeholders. He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from South Punjab at the Governor House Lahore, where Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider was also present. The delegation included PPP South Punjab leaders Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf, Mumtaz Ali Chang, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, and Member of the National Assembly Makhdoom Tahir.  

 

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the longstanding issues of South Punjab and other important matters. The delegation apprised the president of the challenges faced by the people of South Punjab. President Zardari praised the role of all political forces in strengthening democratic values and stressed the need for collective efforts. He stated that political leadership must work together for the country’s progress and stability to effectively address public concerns.
