Sambrial + Lahore: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza condemned the PML-N's alleged election rigging and hooliganism in PP-52 Sambrial, Sialkot. Addressing the media in the presence of party leaders Rao Babar Jamil, Malik Tahir, Shahid Abbas, and Imran Khokhar, Murtaza declared the PML-N's actions as unacceptable and accused the party of result manipulation via Form 47.
 
Murtaza alleged that various cases of electoral foul play have emerged in Sialkot, uncovering the real face of some political players. He said that the PPP is gradually becoming more powerful and gaining the support of the people while lashing out at the PML-N for weakening democratic values.
 
Referring to a particular incident, Murtaza had told of grave irregularities at the Mitran Wali polling station, where alleged harassment of voters by PML-N workers. He assured that Rangers had reached the location and restored order. But he called for security agencies to act promptly against election violence and create transparency.
 
The leader of the PPP called for authorities to reveal anti-democratic forces and give real-time information to people in order to preserve confidence in the electoral process. He asserted that all such efforts would not discourage the PPP from making a comeback and advocated accountability to protect democracy.
