Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Uncovers Indian Propaganda at UN, Calls for International Support for Regional Peace
New York: A Pakistani parliamentary team, headed by previous Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and chief of the Pakistani mission, met with the elected representatives of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly negated India's futile propaganda against Pakistan, putting forward counterarguments and explaining Pakistan's position clearly before the world community.
While talking to the Danish, Greek, Panamanian, Somalian, Algerian, Guyanese, Japanese, South Korean, Sierra Leonean, and Slovenian representatives, Bilawal stressed that raising accusations against Pakistan without proofs or investigation is not acceptable. He underlined that India's intentional targeting of civilian populations and its suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty are a great threat not just to Pakistan but to the stability of the entire region.
Other delegation members, such as Sherry Rehman, Hina Rabbani Khar, and Masood Malik, apprised the members of the UNSC that the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty will result in acute water shortage, food emergencies, and ecological destruction in Pakistan. They asked the international community to break away from post-conflict resolutions and rather take proactive steps to usher in enduring peace in South Asia before the situation worsens further.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made it clear that the Pakistani response to Indian aggression was proportionate, responsible, and consistent with the United Nations Charter. All the members of the Security Council welcomed Pakistan's diplomacy and appreciated them as positive and constructive.
The Pakistani delegation sent a clear message to the international community, calling upon it to do its part in stopping India's war-mongering behavior and spreading peace in the region.
