President Zardari Calls for Political Stability, National Unity to Ensure Pakistan’s Progress
Zardari Vows District-Level Engagement, Honors Bhutto’s Sacrifices
Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan is in dire need of political stability and national consensus at this time. All democratic forces can together ensure the country's progress and prosperity. During a meeting with senior party leader Barrister Aamir Hassan, the President of Pakistan said that democracy and public service should always be given priority. Every individual and school of thought must play its role to solve public problems, and the youth should come forward for the country's development and prosperity. The President said that to strengthen the economy, everyone must adopt a common strategy and the challenges facing the country must be faced with mutual cooperation, national unity and solidarity. President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that the organizations will have to work hard to organize the PPP. I will soon start meeting workers at the district level. I am the President of Pakistan today thanks to the sacrifices and struggle of Shaheed Bibi Shaheed. Barrister Aamir Hassan presented suggestions to the President in the meeting that there should be ideological and qualified people in the organizational positions of the PPP, electables should do electoral politics, and ideological youth must be brought forward in party organization.
