Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari meets members of U.S. Congressional Pakistan Caucus, strongly raises concerns over India’s water aggression

Washington: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Head of Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held a high-level meeting with members of the U.S. Congressional Pakistan Caucus in Washington. He was accompanied by a senior parliamentary delegation comprising elected representatives from various political parties in Pakistan.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Republican leaders Jack Bergman and Ryan Zinke, as well as among others. The meeting addressed critical issues including regional peace and stability in South Asia, Pakistan-India relations, and pressing water disputes.
Raising strong concerns before the Congressional leaders, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted India’s recent water aggression, stating that “India has weaponized water, endangering the future of not only Pakistan but the entire region.” He condemned the Modi government’s repeated provocations and its habit of launching attacks without evidence, calling it a manifestation of war hysteria.
He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s role in helping to de-escalate past tensions between Pakistan and India, noting that “Pakistan remains committed to peace, but sadly, India consistently resists dialogue.”
Chairman Bilawal stressed that if Indian hostility is not curbed in time, it could seriously jeopardize regional peace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for constructive engagement based on mutual respect and peaceful resolution of disputes.
The members of Congress welcomed the delegation, listened carefully to Pakistan’s concerns, and expressed willingness to strengthen bilateral engagement and regional stability.
