In a significant development, journalist Gulzar Gill has been officially appointed as the Information Secretary for South Punjab by the International Churches Alliance (ICA). The appointment was announced through a formal notification issued by Bishop Dr. Balthazar Samuel John, Chairman of ICA and the Bishop Council of the Methodist Church in Pakistan.

According to the notification, the decision was reached following consultations with key religious leaders, including:

• Archbishop Dr. Stephen Saddique (Religious Spokesperson Pakistan)

• Pastor Nadeem Akhtar Masih (Information Secretary Pakistan)

• Rev. Fr. Waqas (President, ICA District Bahawalpur)
