Nation Pays Tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on 72nd Birth Anniversary; Ceremonies Held Across Punjab
LAHORE: The entire nation is paying tribute to former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her 72nd birth anniversary today. Grand ceremonies have been organized across the country to mark the occasion, with special programs being held in 26 districts of central Punjab.
In a statement issued here General Secretary Central Punjab Syed Hassan Murtaza emphasized that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's invaluable services for the nation and democracy remain a shining chapter in history. He stressed that the democratic system in place today exists because of her sacrifices and relentless struggle. She never compromised on the supremacy of the constitution, parliament, or the people's right to sovereignty.
He further stated that under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party remains committed to advancing Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's vision. Her struggle and sacrifices will always be remembered, and efforts will be intensified to continue her mission.
