Islamabad – Sharing a passionate tribute on social media network X (formerly Twitter) on the 72nd birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Member National Assembly and seasoned Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sehar Kamran wrote:

"On the 72nd birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, another of her visions is coming to life. I take this moment to reflect on how, before ending her exile, SMBB performed Umrah on June 18, 2007. En route to Makkah, she discussed Pakistan’s economic stability and her plans for return, stating, “People have great hopes in me; they say, ‘Benazir Aaye Gi, Rozgar Laye Gi.’ We cannot provide jobs to everyone, but for the economic empowerment of youth, it is vital to create skill development opportunities so they can earn with dignity.” SMBB returned to Pakistan with a comprehensive roadmap for stability and prosperity.
Today, President @AAliZardari and First Lady @AseefaBZ launched the Benazir Hunarmand Registration Portal at Aiwan-e-Sadr under the flagship BISP program—a significant step toward realizing Bibi’s goals.

In her post, Sehar Kamran recalled a poignant moment from June 18, 2007, when Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (SMBB) performed Umrah before ending her political exile. Sehar Kamran said that she accompanied SMBB during that Umrah pilgrimage, in the same car with her while traveling from Jeddah to Makkah and back. During that journey, they had a lengthy and thoughtful conversation about Benazir Bhutto’s plans to return to Pakistan, her concerns about the country’s situation, and her unshakable commitment to the nation’s economic stability.

Quoting SMBB, Kamran said, “People have great hopes in me; they say, ‘Benazir Aaye Gi, Rozgar Laye Gi.’ We cannot provide jobs to everyone, but for the economic empowerment of youth, it is vital to create skill development opportunities so they can earn with dignity.”

Sehar Kamran said the launch of the Benazir Hunarmand Registration Portal by President Asif Ali Zardari and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari at Aiwan e Sadr as a major step toward realising Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's vision. Launched under the flagship Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the portal seeks to empower young people with demand-driven skills and create avenues for dignified employment.

She commended BISP Chair Senator Rubina Khalid as well as Nayab Jan and the whole BISP team for making this idea come true.

Kamran noted, adding that this evolution demonstrates the enduring legacy and path for riches left by the murdered leader, "Another of her [Benazir Bhutto's] visions is coming to life."
