Lahore: A ceremony was held in Lahore, NA-127, to honor women benefiting from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). The event was presided over by Faisal Mir, the provincial leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Also present at the occasion were Khurram Farooq, Shahbaz Durrani, Farhat Yasmin, and Atif Miraj.

Hundreds of women who have received stipends under the Benazir Income Support Program attended the ceremony. During the event, speakers highlighted the program's successes and its benefits for women.

**Faisal Mir** stated, "Through the Benazir Income Support Program, President Asif Ali Zardari has empowered the most vulnerable women in Pakistan. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has significantly increased the number of women enrolled in this program. The efforts of Shazia Marri and Rubina Khalid have played a fundamental role in expanding the program's reach and effectiveness. Thousands of women in NA-127 are benefiting from this initiative. Although PTI attempted to dismantle the program, the prayers of impoverished women have ensured its continuity."

**Khurram Farooq** remarked, "This program is also providing educational scholarships to the children of underprivileged women. As long as Pakistan exists, the Benazir Income Support Program will continue to benefit the women of Pakistan."

Shahbaz Durrani added, "This program is the greatest support for the empowerment of poor women during times of inflation. It has become one of the most successful poverty alleviation programs in the world."

Participants at the ceremony expressed their satisfaction with the program's achievements and hailed it as a significant step for the empowerment of underprivileged women.
