Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the soldiers of the Pakistan Army who safe guard the borders of the country are our pride. The Pakistan Peoples Party is an ally of the PML-N, however, it will not remain a silent spectator and instead will take a firm stance on matters affecting the general public, ensuring that their concerns and interests are actively represented. He expressed these views while presiding over a consultative meeting of the PPP at the Governor House, Lahore. The meeting was attended by PPP Central Punjab President, Raja Pervez Ashraf, General Secretary Hassan Murtaza, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Abdul Qadir Gillani and other leaders.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that strengthening and stabilizing the PPP in the province is a priority and in this regard, he will give a clear policy to the party workers after Eid. He said that the PPP will give a tough time to other parties in Punjab in the future. The Punjab Governor directed the party workers and senior leaders to hold as many corner meetings as possible. He said that no effort will be spared to regain its lost position in the province. The Punjab Governor said that his aim in sitting in the Governor House is to make Bilawal Bhutto the prime minister with the public mandate. The Punjab Governor said that the politics of the PPP revolves around the people and its aim is only to serve the people and provide them with basic facilities. The Punjab Governor further said that the PPP will be in constant touch with the families of the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and will take steps to resolve their problems.
