LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has emphasized the need for fresh blood in the party, urging senior leaders to mentor and guide the younger generation.
Senior PPP leader Naveed Chaudhry’s son meets PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, during a meeting at Bilawal House, Ifran Naveed Chaudhry discussed the inclusion of youth in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). “The party needs fresh blood,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “Senior party members should guide the younger generation,” he emphasized. “We want a policy where both experienced leaders and new talent coexist in the party,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated. He further highlighted that Pakistan has a large youth population, and “we want to attract young people towards the PPP.” “Educated individuals should join the party and play an active role,” he added. Ifran Naveed Chaudhry stated that “PPP is the only party led by a young leader.” “Under a young leader, the party should give more importance to the youth,” he remarked during his discussion with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The PPP chairman also held a meeting with former Punjab MPA Sania Kamran, where they discussed key issues related to women’s development and party affairs. He reiterated that Pakistan has a vast youth population and emphasized the need to attract young, educated individuals to join PPP and actively contribute to its vision.
In a separate meeting, leaders from the People’s Lawyers Forum (PLF) Punjab, including President Raheel Kamran Cheema, Information Secretary Azeem Hafeez, and Qasim Ghuman Advocate, called on the chairman to discuss strategies for the upcoming Punjab Bar Council elections. Decisions were made regarding meetings between PLF divisions and the party leadership to strengthen the forum’s presence.
Additionally, PPP District Okara President Chaudhry Sajjad-ul-Hassan, Information Secretary Malik Shahid Saleem Noonari, and Sardar Muhammad Asif Jatt met with Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to brief him on the district’s political landscape.
PPP Lahore General Secretary Rana Jamil Manj also met separately with the party chairman to discuss the city’s political dynamics and issues related to women’s development.
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s series of meetings reflect his commitment to rejuvenating the party with young leadership while ensuring that experienced members continue to play a guiding role in PPP’s future.
