Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana (April 5, 2025) – Former MPA and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sania Kamran joined a sea of central PPP leaders and workers at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to commemorate the 46th death anniversary of Shaheed Leader of the People, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Amid the gathering of senior figures—including former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sarfaraz Bugti, and former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah—Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari delivered a stirring address that left a lasting impression on all in attendance.

Sania Kamran, reflecting on the day’s proceedings, lauded Chairman Bilawal for his exemplary leadership and visionary address. “Like his grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and his mother, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal has ascended to a prominent position on the world stage at a very young age,” she remarked. “Through his wisdom and vision, he has proven himself the true heir of our revolutionary political legacy, and he possesses the full capacity to lead the PPP forward in this modern era.”

In his address, Chairman Bilawal paid heartfelt tribute to Bhutto’s enduring legacy. He recounted the monumental achievements of Shaheed Bhutto—ranging from the framing of Pakistan’s first unanimous Constitution to his steadfast commitment to democracy, workers’ and farmers’ rights, and the initiation of Pakistan’s nuclear program. Chairman Bilawal’s words evoked deep national pride and underscored the core values that continue to drive the PPP, she said.

A key element of his speech was a resolute call for unity and collective decision-making. Highlighting pressing governance issues, Chairman Bilawal demanded the immediate withdrawal of controversial canal projects on the Indus River, emphasizing that unilateral decisions threatening the federation’s integrity would not be tolerated. He warned that without proper consultation with the PPP, the party would refrain from supporting the federal budget—reinforcing his commitment to safeguard provincial rights and ensure equitable resource distribution, she added.

In his address reflecting on his tenure as Foreign Minister, Chairman Bilawal recalled his efforts on international platforms to secure funding for the Peoples Housing Project by drawing global attention to climate change and Pakistan’s water resource challenges. His determination to protect the Indus River and hold adversaries, particularly India, accountable for water misappropriation demonstrated his broader vision for national sovereignty.

Throughout his address, Bilawal invoked the imagery of Pakistan’s provinces as “four brothers,” urging an end to divisive politics and fostering a united front against all threats. His “Pakistan Khappay” rallies, set to begin on April 18 in Hyderabad, serve as a clarion call for all Pakistanis to stand together against policies that harm the federation.

On the issue of terrorism, Bilawal reaffirmed the PPP’s unwavering stance, reminding the nation of past sacrifices and the need for collective resistance against those who seek to undermine national integrity. His powerful message of unity, resilience, and justice resonated deeply with supporters and served as a testament to his visionary leadership.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s address not only paid homage to the revolutionary legacy of Shaheed Bhutto but also charted a clear path for a future based on democratic governance and social justice. As Sania Kamran aptly noted, his leadership embodies the spirit of the PPP—a party that has long been the voice and hope of the people of Pakistan.

The gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, marked by a profound sense of pride and unity, reaffirmed that in these challenging times, true strength lies in coming together to defend national rights and work towards a just and prosperous Pakistan.
