PPP Leaders Hail Bilawal Bhutto and Faryal Talpur’s Historic Victory in Umerkot By-Election
Senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), including Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf, Central Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Gondal, General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, and Information Secretary Central Punjab Shehzad Saeed Chima, extended heartfelt congratulations to Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Central Women’s Wing President Faryal Talpur for their historic triumph in the NA-213 Umerkot by-election.
In a statement, Raja Pervez Ashraf emphasized that the public mandate in Umerkot reflects clear support for PPP’s democratic and pro-people agenda. “This victory is the result of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s leadership and Faryal Talpur’s relentless efforts,” he said, adding that the win sends a message of democracy’s supremacy not only in Sindh but across the country.
Nadeem Afzal Gondal, the Central Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), expressed gratitude to the party’s passionate workers, leaders, and voters whose dedication made the success possible. He further highlighted that the win symbolized a renewed commitment to advancing the philosophy of Benazir Bhutto and the enduring legacy of public struggle
Gondal described the triumph as a "resounding endorsement of public democracy and a clear reflection of the people’s trust." He emphasized that the voters of Umerkot had overwhelmingly reaffirmed their faith in the PPP’s development vision and leadership. "We consider public service our foremost priority and will leave no stone unturned to fulfill this mandate," he stated.
General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza noted that the people’s trust in the PPP has been reaffirmed. “This historic success is the logical outcome of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s philosophy and Bilawal Bhutto’s relentless struggle,” he stated, praising party workers for their sacrifices. He asserted that the people of Umerkot have raised their voices against oppression and exploitation.
Murtaza said PPP’s victory in NA-213 has been widely viewed as a significant political milestone, reinforcing the party’s grassroots connection in Sindh and its pledge to uphold the democratic ideals championed by the Bhutto family.
