"The current system cannot continue, and politics is deliberately being tarnished," says PPP leader

ISLAMABAD (Special Report) - Pakistan People's Party (PPP) central information secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan has expressed deep concern over the country's current political and economic situation, stating that if the major political leaders and military leadership of the country sit together for dialogue, Pakistan's problems could be resolved in just one day.

Speaking on Samaa TV's popular program "Nadeem Malik Live," Chan said that if President Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, and Army Chief General Asim Munir sit at one table for negotiations, solutions to all of Pakistan's major issues could be found.

The PPP senior leader criticized the current political system, asserting that "the current system cannot continue, and politics is deliberately being tarnished." According to him, there is an organized effort to defame politics and politicians in the country, which is damaging the democratic process.

During the program, Nadeem Afzal Chan also shared his thoughts on regional incidents and strongly condemned the recent terrorist activities in Palestine, Quetta, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He remarked that "India would hardly condemn these incidents," while also declaring the recent human rights violations in occupied Kashmir as condemnable.

Regarding the economic crisis, the PPP leader mentioned the impact of inflation on common citizens. He stated that "it is becoming impossible for the poor and middle class to purchase gold because the middle class has to sell property to buy gold." This statement reflects the worsening economic situation and rising inflation in the country.

Expressing sorrow over Pakistan's political history, Nadeem Afzal Chan lamented the treatment of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, and the PTI founder. He voiced his concern by asking, "who knows who will be next," suggesting political instability in the country.

On this occasion, the PPP leader also discussed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's return from London and the potential parole release of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder. Pointing to societal changes, he stated that "society has transformed, and this transformation is not for any one party but for the entire nation."

Nadeem Afzal Chan's statement comes at a time when the country is facing political and economic crises, with various political parties standing firm on their respective positions. His suggestion that all major political leaders and military leadership should sit together to resolve issues indicates an important step toward political reconciliation.
