LAHORE - In a powerful demonstration of community solidarity and action, approximately 60 community members, clergy, and local leaders gathered yesterday at St. Mary's Church in Marriam Colony, Green Town, Lahore, for a youth empowerment workshop focused on career development and socio-economic advancement.

The training workshop and career counseling event, held on April 14th, was jointly organized by Human and Rural Development Society (HARDS) Pakistan and Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan (CBFP) in collaboration with several notable partners including the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), The Hunnar Foundation (THF), and Saiban-e-Pakistan.

The initiative specifically targeted marginalized youth in the Green Town area, providing them with valuable resources, guidance, and opportunities for professional development. Throughout the day, participants engaged in structured learning activities designed to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial skills.

"We're grateful for the overwhelming support and the special prayers offered for the success of this initiative," said Saleem Shakir, President of CBFP, during his address to attendees. He expressed particular gratitude to Pastor Naveed, the incharge pastor of St. Mary's Church, for hosting the event and supporting community development efforts.

The collaboration between religious institutions, non-profit organizations, and community development foundations exemplifies a comprehensive approach to addressing socio-economic challenges facing young people in the region. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, the organizers created a supportive environment for knowledge sharing and community building.

This event represents one of several ongoing initiatives in the area aimed at empowering youth through education, skills development, and career guidance. Community leaders expressed hope that such programs will continue to expand, reaching more young people throughout Lahore's underserved neighborhoods.

For marginalized youth facing limited economic opportunities, workshops like this provide not only practical skills but also inspiration and connection to a supportive network of mentors and resources. The organizers plan to follow up with participants to track progress and provide ongoing support as they pursue their career goals.
