In his address, Syed Hasan Murtaza stated that the love and enthusiasm of the people of Khushab could keep him awake for days. He mentioned that Raja Pervez Ashraf had missed this beautiful program. Emphasizing the sacrifices of the People's Party, he said that countless workers and leaders had not only sacrificed for power but also shed their blood to strengthen the country. He asserted that whether the country needed the 18th or 26th constitutional amendment, Bilawal Bhutto had the capability to unite all political forces.
He warned that if any unit remained weak, the federation would also weaken. He praised the People's Party’s success in rolling back the controversial canal project. Murtaza questioned why the People's Party was blamed for expensive electricity and oil when it was not in power. He recalled the difficulties of 2008 when there were shortages of flour and sugar, and terrorism was at its peak. He credited Asif Ali Zardari for improving farmers' livelihoods by providing support prices for wheat and sugarcane.
He stated that the People's Party had faced judicial terrorism in the power sector. He stressed that the country still faced the same challenges, which could be resolved by facilitating farmers. Expressing his joy at addressing the genuine workers' convention in Khushab, Murtaza congratulated all organizers and commended the participation of women and girls who stayed until late at night.
He clarified that the People's Party’s struggle was not for power but to change Pakistan's conditions. He described it as a party of martyrs and brave individuals with no place for looters. He expressed confidence in the party’s success as long as leaders like Malik Ali Sanwal and Malik Azhar remained active. He promised that if given power, he would play his role in establishing a university in Khushab.
Tasneem Qureshi interpreted the Prime Minister’s decision on the canal issue as wise. He warned that if India attempted aggression, Pakistan would use its nuclear capability. He stated that war was no solution and emphasized the need to work together to eliminate poverty and unemployment. He said the convention sent a message that the People's Party stood with the military, government, and the party.
Malik Ali Sanwal declared that the People's Party would not allow four brothers to fight. He clarified that Babu’s vote was not the party’s ideology, pointing to the public’s support in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh as evidence. He pledged to fight for party workers on all fronts and stand by voters. He praised the love shown by workers from Sarghodha and assured that the People's Party’s doors were open for every worker.
He stated that the People's Youth, PSF, Women’s Wing, Farmers’ Wing, Doctors, and Trade Unions were the party’s strength. He hailed Tasneem Qureshi as his elder brother and commended his leadership. He emphasized the party’s desire to end the politics of hatred. He claimed that the party had strong political influence in Khushab, with all union councillors pledging support.
He vowed to make Bilawal Bhutto the Prime Minister and win all national and provincial assembly seats from Khushab. He asserted that if they could confront locust swarms and mountains, they could also compete with PML-N and PTI. He promised to stand with workers and work to eliminate unemployment, inflation, and lawlessness.
