India’s Rejection of International Law Is Alarming: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that "India immediately blames Pakistan whenever a terrorist act occurs, whether in occupied Kashmir or anywhere else."
Islamabad – April 30, 2025:
Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has strongly criticized India for what he described as a pattern of baseless accusations against Pakistan following any incident of terrorism in or outside the occupied Kashmir region.
In an interview with a private news channel, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that "India immediately blames Pakistan whenever a terrorist act occurs, whether in occupied Kashmir or anywhere else." He added, "India has repeatedly proven itself to be an irresponsible state."
He further emphasized that "preparations are complete, and a dangerous front has been opened," though he admitted uncertainty about what lies ahead. "We must decide whether to continue blaming each other or sit together to resolve this issue and free the region from its grip."
The PPP chairman praised the government's decision to challenge India with a call for a neutral investigation into such incidents. "Let the truth be revealed. India is running away from an international inquiry while we are repeatedly inviting diplomatic solutions," he asserted.
Bhutto Zardari also proposed that the intelligence agencies of both countries work together to identify and apprehend facilitators of terrorist acts. He criticized India for lacking seriousness in dialogue and cooperation.
Referring to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, he warned, "Modi’s India is becoming increasingly extremist, which is affecting Pakistan and the entire region." He condemned recent aggressive steps taken by India, stating, "Such actions are unprecedented, even during wartime, and we strongly denounce them."
Highlighting the importance of the Indus Waters Treaty, he said it is regarded globally as a model agreement. "India does not respect international law, and the UN should not yield to Indian pressure. The global community does not accept the baseless allegations India levels against Pakistan."
Discussing foreign relations, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari acknowledged Pakistan’s longstanding ties with the United States but emphasized the permanence of regional neighbors. "In the current geopolitical climate, where great powers are increasingly at odds, it is evident that India is eagerly participating in and benefiting from this rivalry."
He concluded by stressing the need for regional unity. "We have to live in this region together. We must not allow ourselves to be used by external forces."
