Pakistan Will Give a Befitting Response to Any Indian Aggression, No Compromise on Sovereignty: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan
No compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty—every act of aggression will be met with a decisive response: Hina Parvez Butt
Lahore: Member of the Punjab Assembly and Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, Hina Parvez Butt, participated as the guest of honour in a national seminar held at a local hotel in Lahore titled "Pakistan-India Issues and the Role of Pakistan Army—Kashmir, Terrorism, Water Disputes, and Other Challenges... Is There a Solution? And the Role of the UNO?"
In her address, Hina Parvez Butt strongly condemned India’s water aggression, false flag operations, atrocities in occupied Kashmir, and media censorship. She stated that Pakistan is a responsible state, but if war is imposed, it will give a strong and decisive response.
Expressing full confidence in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, she warned that if India constructs any structure to block Pakistan’s water, it will be destroyed. Reacting strongly to the blocking of the Prime Minister’s YouTube channel, she said that India now considers patriotism a crime. This is an attack on freedom of expression. She urged the United Nations to end its criminal silence on Kashmir and play an active role in ensuring justice.
In her concluding remarks, Hina Parvez Butt said that Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty, Kashmir’s rights, or the protection of its water resources.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan in his speech
asserted that Pakistan possesses the full capability to respond decisively to any Indian aggression, emphasizing that the nation’s armed forces, leadership, and people stand united.
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan stated that India's core issue lies with Pakistan’s very existence. "People like me, who always advocated for dialogue, no longer support talks when the other side refuses to acknowledge basic rights. Negotiations become meaningless under such circumstances," he said.
Addressing the Kashmir issue, the Speaker highlighted that the dispute is not merely territorial but concerns the fundamental right to self-determination for millions of people. "The Kashmir conflict is centuries old, and a plebiscite remains the only solution. Through constitutional amendments, India has unleashed oppression on Kashmiris, making their lives miserable," he added.
Expressing disappointment, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan questioned the silence of global powers in the face of state-sponsored violence, extrajudicial killings, and Indian terrorism. "Why is the world’s conscience silent on state terrorism? Can India hide every crime under the guise of economy and trade?" he asked.
On the water dispute, he clarified that Pakistan’s rights over water are internationally recognized. "If India attempts to block water or commit aquatic aggression, it will be considered an act of war. Such moves would blatantly violate the Indus Waters Treaty and international laws," he said, also exposing India’s double standards regarding the Brahmaputra and other rivers.
Discussing terrorism, the Speaker noted that Pakistan has sacrificed over 80,000 lives in the fight against terrorism. "RAW agents and elements like Kulbhushan Jadhav have been apprehended in Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab. The BLA and TTP find safe havens in Afghanistan, while Pakistan continues to suffer from India’s state-sponsored terrorism," he stated.
He warned that if India indulges in war frenzy, it will bear full responsibility for the consequences. "Both nations are nuclear powers. A nuclear conflict could affect two billion people, with environmental impacts plunging the world into darkness for 25 years."
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan affirmed that the military leadership stands firm on the frontlines, and the Prime Minister has sent a clear message. "Since India issued threats of aggression, the nation has united behind its armed forces. Propagandists within the country have been silenced, and the spirit displayed by the people is one I hope remains forever," he said.
Concluding his address, the Speaker reiterated Pakistan’s desire for lasting peace in the region but made it clear that no compromise would be made on sovereignty, national dignity, or security. "Pakistan will respond forcefully to any aggression, and the enemy will pay a heavy price. The United Nations must urgently play its role in ensuring a just resolution to the Kashmir issue and countering India’s ambitions."
