ISLAMABAD, 6 May 2025 – Former MPA and senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sania Kamran today praised President Asif Ali Zardari for his “visionary leadership” and “steadfast commitment” to Pakistan’s security and diplomatic engagement.

In a statement issued from her office, Ms. Kamran commended the President’s recent meetings with China’s Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, saying that Mr. Zardari “has masterfully balanced firm defense of our national interests with proactive diplomacy aimed at regional stability.” She highlighted his insistence on de-escalation efforts following the Pahalgam incident and the strengthening of historic ties with Islamabad’s closest neighbors.

Sania Kamran also lauded President Zardari’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces, noting his tribute to the troops who thwarted militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and South Waziristan. “By honoring the sacrifices of our security personnel and vowing to continue operations until terrorism is eradicated, President Zardari has galvanized national resolve and sent a clear message that Pakistan will not tolerate threats to its sovereignty,” she said.

The former legislator praised the President’s “inclusive vision” for peace and prosperity, which she described as grounded in solidarity with frontline defenders and committed engagement with regional partners. “Under President Zardari’s leadership,” Ms. Kamran added, “Pakistan is not only defending its borders, but also helping to build a more stable and secure South Asia.”
