PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has described the joint stance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the canal construction issue as a practical example of national unity.
He welcomed the Prime Minister’s announcement that “no new canal will be built until the CCI grants its approval,” calling it an encouraging development.
Governor Kundi also lauded Bilawal Bhutto’s unequivocal position on the Indus Waters Treaty as “highly commendable.” He emphasized that such a consensus-driven approach will foster inter-provincial harmony.
